Welcome. Beautiful Pet portraits in Pastel by Cath Quinton BA (HONS) A pet portrait makes a wonderfully affordable gift for Christmas, Birthdays, Wedding gifts or just as a special surprise! *NEWS* I have uploaded some more pictures of work I have recently completed, please visit the gallery HERE to view. Thanks. The Artist. ![]() I studied Illustration at Norwich School of Art in the early eighties and gained a B.A. (Hons) degree. After a good few years of family life and bringing up children I went into teaching for a number of years. After being diagnosed with arthritis, all that standing in the classroom became too much and I decided to indulge my love of drawing and animals to work as a portrait artist on a full-time basis. The Portraits I use the finest soft chalk pastels to draw your treasured pet in detail, working from photographs to capture your pet’s unique characteristics and personality. How do I Commission a Portrait? Simply follow the tips in the ‘Photography Tips’ section. Once you have a good, clear photograph(s) you can either e-mail or post them to me. For variations from a standard single portrait just contact me and we can discuss your requirements. Once I have completed the portrait it will be professionally framed, yet again. Any specific requirements on framing can be discussed and agreed although most people tend to allow their portrait to be framed using a mount and frame that best suits the portrait. Completion times vary so if your portrait is for a special occasion, please make it clear when you place an order when you require the completed portrait. It is a preferable if I have received your photographs six weeks prior to your portrait being sent to you, however I will always try to complete your portrait as quickly as orders allow. |
